When I was in college back in 1985 (!) I took a Basic programming course (!!) and one of the programs we had to write was one that would convert some large number of minutes into a statement of minutes and seconds. I very meticulously went though and accounted for any combination of plural or singular hours and plural or singular minutes. It really wasn’t that hard, it just took some attention to detail.......

It doesn’t bug me a whole lot , but I do miss it a little, and am puzzled as to why someone at Kinja went out of their way to disable it. As if they don’t have more important things to fix.

There are times when I can’t type at all on my iPad. It’s insanely laggy and then, when the letters do come in, it’s complete gibberish. I think it has something to do with the Eterna-scroll™ not loading.

No, the “and someone else” is a wholly separate Kinja-ism. Kinjism? It only shows up if exactly four people have recommended a post, because “and 1 others” WOULD BE WRONG OR SOMETHING. So they have their priorities in order, clearly.

I use a Kindle HD, it’s even worse at lest an Ipad has a somewhat fast processor.
